Jasmine "Jay" Gonzalez is a recently published illustrator and passionate artist. While she originally wanted to go for animation, she became deeply in love with comics and how they work during a gap year and now wishes to work on and create her own someday. She's worked professionally to help bring life with spot illustrations in the young adult novel, The Single Diary of A Precarious Kacee Gardener. She loves working with her clients to help them find something they love and cherish and that helps share their passions with the world. She is both a 2D and 3D illustrator, often creating pixelated sculptures in her free time and 3D printing them to paint at the fabrication lab where she works currently.
Jasmine is always looking to learn new skills and grow as an artist, forever eager to learn new tricks and hone old ones. Proficient in both Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, she will create works to be carved into by the laser cutters she has access to through her job to create new works that would be difficult or near impossible with the human hand.
Jasmine believes that art is something that connects people together and that it's important as an artist to not just observe the world around you, but to try to see what it could be. Imagination is something we are all born with; it is an artist's job to remind everyone why.
"The world of reality has its limits; the world of imagination is boundless." Jean-Jacques Rousseau
